What Is Child Sponsorship?

At Mercy Project Intl, child sponsorship is all about connection. The connection between you as a sponsor and your child. We desire to connect you to a needy child and family whom you can help in a significant way.

This is a family based program designed to strengthen at-risk children and their families. The sponsorship funds you provide are not used for community development, clean drinking water, or other humanitarian causes. They are instead used to improve the life of your individual child and their family through support such as:

• education assistance
• health and medical assistance
• child care coordinator to monitor their situation
• summer camps, birthday gifts, and correspondence with sponsors

Children and their families are accepted into our program regardless of their religion, politics, or ethnicity. We partner together in your child's country with local, reliable agencies and people to monitor your child's progress and provide you with annual updates. There is no limit to the amount of correspondence you may have with your child.

We believe that the element of hope brought into the life of a child through the sponsorship relationship is vitally important to their development. Our desire is to "connect" you to a child so that you may pray for them, visit them in their country, write letters of encouragement, even assist them to obtain higher education.

Your connection to a child and their family is:

• close - you may exchange unlimited letters and emails
